Our cookie policy
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes a unique identifier that is sent to your computer or mobile phone (referred to here as a "device") browser from a website's computer and is stored on your device's hard drive. Each website can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser's preferences allow it, but (to protect your privacy) your browser only permits a website to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other sites. Many sites do this whenever a user visits their website in order to track online traffic flows. Cookies record information about your online preferences and allow us to tailor the websites to your interests.
Users have the opportunity to set their devices to accept all cookies, to notify them when a cookie is issued, or not to receive cookies at any time. The last of these means that certain personalised services cannot then be provided to that user and accordingly you may not be able to take full advantage of all of Freetricity’s features. Each browser is different, so check the "Help" menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences.
During the course of any visit to a Freetricity website, the pages you see, along with a cookie, are downloaded to your device. Many websites do this, because cookies enable website publishers to do useful things like find out whether the device (and probably its user) has visited the website before. This is done on a repeat visit by checking to see, and finding, the cookie left there on the last visit.
The Freetricity website uses Google Analytics to help analyse how users use the site. This analytical tool uses 'cookies', which are text files placed on your computer, to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information in an anonymous form. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) is transmitted to Google. This information is then used to evaluate visitors’ use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity for Freetricity.
Freetricity will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifying information from any source as part of our use of the Google statistical analytics tool. Freetricity will not link, or seek to link, an IP address with the identity of a computer user. The next time you visit our website (using the same computer) our server will recognise the cookie and provide us with information about your last visit.
If you do not want a Cookie to be stored on your hard drive you should select the appropriate options on your web-browser. Please refer to your web-browser provider or system user guide for detailed information on disabling cookies. Please be aware that disabling cookies may prevent the correct operation of some of our online services to you.
For more information about cookies, including how to change your browser settings and find and delete cookies on your hard drive, please visit www.aboutcookies.org.
Internetworking Protocol Addresses
An internetworking protocol address ("IP Address") is a number automatically assigned to your computer on connecting to the Internet. Freetricity will make a record of your IP Address and may use it for administrative, security and statistical purposes.
Links to other sites
This website may include links to other sites. We make every effort to provide links to high quality, reputable sites but we're not responsible for their privacy practices or, site content, or the services they offer. Please check the privacy policy of any site we link to before you submit personal information as it may differ significantly from our privacy policy.
Telephone calls
If you call any of the customer service telephone numbers quoted on this website, we may record your call. These recordings are used for training and quality control to ensure that we continuously monitor and improve our customer service standards.
Changes to our Privacy Policy
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time so you may wish to check it each time you submit personal information to any Freetricity website. The date of the most recent revisions will appear on this page.
